Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the TradeOn platform and forms part of our Terms of Service. Violation of this AUP may result in warnings, account suspension, or permanent termination at TradeOn's sole discretion.

1. Prohibited Products & Services

You shall not list, sell, offer, or facilitate the sale of:

  • Counterfeit, pirated, or trademark-infringing goods
  • Stolen, smuggled, or illegally obtained products
  • Narcotics, psychotropic substances, or controlled drugs
  • Weapons, ammunition, explosives, or hazardous materials (unless duly licensed)
  • Products violating the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 or CITES regulations
  • Pornographic, obscene, or morally offensive material
  • Products that infringe upon any patent, copyright, trademark, or trade secret
  • Products banned or restricted for sale in India by any central or state government authority
  • Human organs, body parts, or human remains
  • Products that promote hatred, violence, or discrimination based on race, religion, gender, caste, or ethnicity
  • Unlicensed financial products, securities, or cryptocurrency-related instruments
  • Any goods requiring specific licenses where the seller does not hold such license

2. Prohibited Conduct

You shall not:

  • Fraud & misrepresentation: Provide false business information, fake GSTIN/PAN, forged KYC documents, or misrepresent the nature or capabilities of your organization.
  • Price manipulation: Engage in predatory pricing, bait-and-switch tactics, artificial price inflation, or any form of market manipulation.
  • Fake transactions: Create fictitious orders, sham transactions, or circular trading to inflate metrics, earn incentives, or manipulate trade data.
  • Review manipulation: Post fake reviews, ratings, or testimonials, or offer incentives for biased reviews.
  • Data harvesting: Scrape, mine, or systematically collect data from the platform (including product listings, pricing, user information, or trade data) for unauthorized purposes.
  • Spam & unsolicited communication: Send unsolicited bulk messages, spam, or promotional material to other users through the platform.
  • Identity misuse: Impersonate another user, organization, or TradeOn personnel.
  • System abuse: Exploit bugs, vulnerabilities, or system weaknesses; attempt DDoS attacks; or use automated tools to gain unfair advantage.
  • Tax evasion: Use the platform to facilitate tax evasion, under-invoicing, or any scheme to circumvent GST or income tax obligations.
  • Money laundering: Use the platform to launder money or finance illegal activities.
  • Circumventing controls: Attempt to bypass subscription limits, KYC requirements, rate limits, or any other platform controls.

3. Content Standards

All content uploaded to the platform (product listings, descriptions, images, documents) must:

  • Be accurate, truthful, and not misleading
  • Comply with the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) guidelines
  • Not contain defamatory, libelous, threatening, or harassing language
  • Not infringe on any third party's intellectual property rights
  • Not contain viruses, malware, or executable code
  • Include accurate HSN codes, GST rates, and country of origin where required by law

4. API Usage

If you access TradeOn via API, the following additional rules apply:

  • API access must be used only for its intended purpose as described in the API documentation
  • You must not exceed rate limits or attempt to circumvent usage quotas
  • Data obtained via API must not be redistributed, resold, or used to build competing services
  • API keys must be kept confidential and not shared with unauthorized parties
  • Automated actions via API must not create an unreasonable load on TradeOn's infrastructure

5. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to info@tradeon.in with details of the violation, the user or organization involved, and any supporting evidence. We will investigate all reports promptly and take appropriate action.

6. Enforcement

TradeOn reserves the right to take any of the following actions for AUP violations:

  • Warning: First-time minor violations may result in a written warning with corrective action required.
  • Content removal: Offending listings, content, or data may be removed without prior notice.
  • Feature restriction: Access to specific features (e.g., listing products, placing orders, API access) may be temporarily restricted.
  • Account suspension: Accounts may be suspended pending investigation.
  • Account termination: Severe or repeated violations will result in permanent account termination without refund of subscription fees.
  • Legal action: TradeOn reserves the right to pursue legal remedies, including reporting to law enforcement authorities, for violations involving fraud, counterfeiting, or other illegal activities.
